Today was “rotisserie meets fuselage day”. Laurie did a great job yet again welding the support struts onto the hoop.

We added a couple of flat bar steel straps to connect the bottom of the hoop to the main wheel axle. Don’t get exited, we didn’t really connect to the actual axle, but as luck would have it, we had a 25 mm dia. gal pipe which fits perfectly into the undercarriage fork bushes. This, together with the wing root attachment points, now accurately locates the fuselage into the hoop by triangulation.

Next Monday we will complete the attachment of the fuselage to the hoop, and lift the fuselage together with the hoop onto the hoop roller assy – 90% complete and 90% to go!
